Overview
Fire now supports defining credentials at the Applications/Project Level.
Credentials are very important as sensitive data like username, password of external systems have to be kept protected.
Fire stores them in an encrypted state.
Credential Tab
Applications in Fire are shared with Groups. Each Application has a Credential tab allowing users of the Applications to define a set of credentials and then be able to use them in workflows, datasets etc.
Using the Credentials
The credentials defined in the Application can be used in the workflows, datasets etc.
They can be accessed by putting something like $mysql-password where needed. Once a credential value is defined, it cannot be viewed, but it can be updated to a newer value.
